A crap day
Although the release of the new X-Box 360 wasn't nearly as bad as I thought, the rest of the day more than made up for it.
After the whole thing had settled down, we began to work on getting everything out as we had a huge backlog of product that was in the back as opposed to out on the sales floor. Our fat ass (literally) supervisor, who is perhaps the laziest woman in the world, actually had the gall to bark at us all day and complain that we weren't working fast enough. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't for the fact that she did nothing but walk around the whole time and impatiently give orders, save for a couple of times when she was around talking to people. If she was so concerned about us getting done, she could have put down the snack that was no doubt making her large ass even larger and help us out. No matter what you do, she still finds something to complain and bitch about. Everyone is so tired of it.
She is never in our department; the question of the day is always: "where is she?" She goes on break several times a day and usually takes very long lunches. Last night, I came in before she did and worked my ass off in preparation for today. It was shortly before time for me to leave for the night, and I never even got my little break. Of course she was nowhere to be seen. But I did see her; hanging outside taking a smoke break while everyone else was inside busting it so she wouldn't complain about us again.
She's getting on my nerves...badly. I could go on and on about how lazy and hypocritical she is.
My knees have been giving me alot of trouble for the past couple of days to where I have developed a slight limp that I have managed to hide. I guess I overdid it one time jogging. Anyway, they were really hurting today. It got to the point where I just wanted to lay down or stop walking altogether.
I stayed over a little today as I usually do before I finally left. I bought Battlefield 2 : Special Forces, an expansion pack, and looked forward to playing it. Unfortunately, it looks like it really sucks. The maps are pretty drab, and the experience of playing as a Special Forces soldier is really not that different from playing a regular soldier, especially when everyone else is playing it too. That's nearly $30 down the drain...
My frustration was slightly abated when I realized I was getting a rental from Netflix in the mail today. I've been rather iritated with them lately as their service has drastically slowed to where I don't seem to get as many movies anymore and on top of that, within a month, I've received two broken discs. But it's hard to get mad when I've been seeing as many great movies as I have recently thanks to them. Well, wouldn't you know it, today I get a rental and it's also cracked. Supposedly, they check these discs before they're sent out to the next person. So they either don't give a damn or are too stupid to realize that just because the disc isn't in two or more pieces doesn't mean it's playable, especially when you have a huge crack running the entire radius of the disc. %#$^^&!!!!! I was looking forward to watching Westworld tonight.
It looks like Charter never disconnected my service from my last residence when I moved, so I probably will be charged two bills. I tried to call today, but my phone was dead. As soon as it's charged, I'm going to call them and let them know the err of their ways. At least Netflix isn't as shitty a company as Charter is...yet.
Oh, and it looks like my phone is now recieving...spam. Yes, spam.
I could use some beer tonight but I haven't decided if I'm going to actually go out and buy some. On the other hand, it probably won't make me feel any better and will most likely make me sleepy, as I had to be at work at 6am and have yet to nap. Plus I need to save my money. I just don't know...
